Ebbene, proprio in quel momento storico, sotto la dinastia dei Medici, nei giardini toscani assistiamo alla comparsa di un nuovo frutto, risultato di un innesto sperimentale di agrumi pregiati. Visto il suo aspetto, che possiamo definire “eccentrico”, venne chiamato Bizzarria o Chimera, in riferimento all'animale mitologico. Questo frutto si diffuse rapidamente, arrivando nei giardini della famiglia granducale, e divenne una passione per il Cardinale Leopoldo de' Medici.

Persino Antonio Biondi, proprietario dei terreni di Castelfalfi, ne rimase affascinato. Come non esserlo! Anche oggi, alcuni esemplari di quel frutto possono essere ammirati nel giardino di Castelfalfi. E proprio qui al Resort 5*, grazie all’intuizione di Erbario Toscano, che di viaggi sensoriali è da anni prestigioso portavoce, è nata una collaborazione che ha portato alla creazione del profumo Chimera di Agrumi ispirato proprio a Bizzarria: un accordo di arance amare, limoni cedrati e note verdi e frizzanti che evocano emozioni di un passato meraviglioso.

When it comes to fragrances, the concept of a sensory journey is the first thing that comes to mind. And if we bring an historical and geographical dimension to the senses, this completes the metaphorical experience. Think of Tuscany. Imagine it. Which age in history appears before your eyes? Precisely when, in the era of the Medici dynasty, the gardens of Tuscany welcomed a new fruit, the result of an experimental grafting process that blended the finest of citrus varieties. Its decidedly “eccentric” appearance earned it the name of Bizzarria or Chimera, after the mythological creature. The fruit spread rapidly, and when it was introduced into the gardens of the ruling family of the Grand Duchy, it became a firm favourite of the cardinal Leopoldo de' Medici.
Unsurprisingly, even Antonio Biondi, the owner of the lands of Castelfalfi, was particularly taken with this peculiar hybrid. A few plants bearing the fruit can still be seen to this day in the garden in Castelfalfi. It is in this 5* Resort that the intuition of Erbario Toscano - which has been specialising in the most enchanting of sensory journeys for years now - teamed with the charm of Castelfalfi to create Chimera di Agrumi, inspired by the Bizzarria, shaping a magical accord of bitter orange and lemon citron, with vibrant green notes that awaken emotions from a magnificent bygone age.
The fragrance has become the key element in the olfactory décor throughout the prestigious Resort, perfectly reflecting the essence of the surrounding landscape and playing a key role in complementing the furnishings to shape the style of the setting, enveloping guests in an aura of harmony and beauty.
