The Norwegian Mountain Code, or “Fjellvettreglene” in Norwegian, was released by The Norwegian Trekking Assocication and the Norwegian Red Cross in 1952, and has become an integral part of Norwegian culture and society.
"Fjellvettreglene" consists of 9 simple rules that are meant to help people navigate the mountains safely and responsibly. In 2016, it was updated to reflect the modern-day use of nature, with more focus on the importance of planning your trip ahead. |
