Meet ski patrollers from around the world

Ski patrollers across the globe work tirelessly to keep the slopes safe for us all. There’s a lifestyle, a passion, and a dedication behind their profession. Learn more about some of the people behind the uniforms and the resorts they maintain.

For ski patroller Rachael Efta, the love of the mountain is beyond dispute, it’s a place she can truly feel alive.

Amanda Mouchet has been a ski patroller at Mount Sima for 15 years. The resort offers 15 marked runs and 5 terrains parks, with views of the surrounding mountains and the city of Whitehorse in the distance.

Rune Granli Slettemark has been a ski patroller at Myrkdalen for 12 seasons. The resort has 9 lifts and 22 slopes, and a big part of the area is above the tree limit, with open terrain and a proper big mountain feeling.

Nicola Barbour has been a part-time ski patroller at Glenshee for over 25 years, and has also participated in patrolling exchanges through patrol friends in Bydalen (Sweden) and Smugglers Notch (Vermont).
