Which Trail is Best to Reach the Summit? 🤔

There are different routes to hike on Mount Kilimanjaro, but if you ask me- the two most interesting routes are the Machame and the Rongai Routes.

👉🏻 The Machame Route - the Most Popular Route 🤩
This route is a 62 km route (37 miles) hike. It is considered a medium difficulty hike suitable for anyone with a proper physical preparation, determination and a well-trained guide. Due to it's high climb, sleep low strategy- It's summit success rate is 95%! 🎉
All our guides are local guides, carefully selected- so no need to worry about that! 😄 You'll meet Darius, a local tour operator that has helped fellow travellers to experience his home country for over the last 21 years! He is more than prepared to offer you the best and most memorable experience in Tanzania. 😌
If you really wanna challenge yourself, the hike can be done in 6 days 💪🏻, but for better acclimatisation and success rate - we recommend to stretch it over 7-8 days (Check our Machame trip! We have departures ready until December⏳)
The scenery along the Machame Route is incredibly diverse, taking you through FIVE distinct climatic zones on your journey to the summit - from lush rainforests 🏞️ and alpine zones 🏔️ with wild grasslands and moorlands to glacier zones ❄️ near the summit. 🌄

👉🏻 The Rongai Route - the Unconventional Route 🤩
This is the only route that starts from the northern Side, offering views of the Kenyan wilderness 🇰🇪 and a Unique perspective of Kilimanjaro 🏔️🇹🇿.
It's a more gradual ascent, which let's say it makes it slightly easier, but don't worry, the descent is steep and will challenge you 🥾 The 9-day trek stretches over 79 km (49 miles) and it's considered to be one of the easiest routes (95% success rate!) 🎉
Known for its remote location, is one of the least traveled paths on Mount Kilimanjaro. You can find yourself trekking alone for hours or even days before meeting other trekkers - so if solitude and complete disconnect from the busy life back home is your goal - this route is the right choice. 💆🏻
It is the driest route on Kilimanjaro, which makes it great for Autumn and Winter season - what's more, you may have luck and spot some wild Colobus Monkeys, exciting! 🐒
