🌎 Countries

Mapo Tapo in Numbers:

🌍 2,500+ travelers since July 2021 — with 600+ in 2025 alone (and counting!)
🧭 58 nationalities represented among our travelers
🏔️ 500+ departures across 40 countries worldwide

From day one, Mapo Tapo set out to be international — a global community of outdoor lovers connected by a shared passion for adventure.

Here’s a look at where our travelers are coming from — both in 2025 and all-time.

Yes, we’re an Italian company based in Milan — and we want to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, all our fellow Italians who have trusted us since the very beginning. 🇮🇹

But over the past few years, Mapo Tapo has truly gone global. And that’s exactly who we are: we love to travel, meet locals, and share our favorite outdoor sports with people from all around the world.

🏠 Cities

By digging a little deeper, we discovered that our travelers live in 660 different towns. Then we grouped all these towns into main metropolitan areas, and we saw that 👇🏼👇🏼

Where are you from?

Vote for your metropolitan area! Even if you’re 30 minutes away from one of these cities, go ahead and cast your vote! :)

When we lose perception, we need to go to a place where we lose reception.

🏔️ Surfing the web

Some of our favorite content we found on the internet this week…

  • Jim Morrison—Mount Everest’s Hornbein Couloir. Just some days after Andrzej Bargiel made the first Everest ski descent through the South Col, Jim Morrison solved what elite ski mountaineers worldwide called "the last great problem": he skied the hardest route to the Everest Summit through its North face…and the cool thing? NatGeo + The North Face + Jimmy Chin are making a movie about it.

  • Ski season is coming soon. Some resorts are already open and others are about to. See here the resorts already open in Europe and North America. See here the ones about to open in Europe and North America.

  • Les Piolet D’Or 2025—The Ballon D’Or of Mountaineering. The 2025 edition will take place in San Martino di Castrozza, Italy, from December 9th to 12th. All nominated ascents have been completed between the Karakoram and the Himalayas. Learn more here.
