📆 Announcement on November 17th. | | 🏔️ Surfing the web | Some of our favorite content we found on the internet this week… | Jim Morrison—Mount Everest’s Hornbein Couloir. Just some days after Andrzej Bargiel made the first Everest ski descent through the South Col, Jim Morrison solved what elite ski mountaineers worldwide called "the last great problem": he skied the hardest route to the Everest Summit through its North face…and the cool thing? NatGeo + The North Face + Jimmy Chin are making a movie about it. Ski season is coming soon. Some resorts are already open and others are about to. See here the resorts already open in Europe and North America. See here the ones about to open in Europe and North America. Les Piolet D’Or 2025—The Ballon D’Or of Mountaineering. The 2025 edition will take place in San Martino di Castrozza, Italy, from December 9th to 12th. All nominated ascents have been completed between the Karakoram and the Himalayas. Learn more here.
