MY FRIENDS CALL ME: Laia or Lai.

AT PDPAOLA I WORK AS: Senior Graphic Designer & Junior Art Director.
 
I LOVE WHAT I DO BECAUSE: It inspires me. I am part of a very fun team and I work as a creative, which is something I am passionate about.
 
MY WORKWEAR UNIFORM: A puff sleeve blouse, wide vintage sailor-cut jeans, and classic 80s white sneakers. I love black, plain, neutral colors but, lately, I have started to add more color to my wardrobe with tartan patterns.
 
MY FAVORITE AUTUMN OUTFIT: A pair of plaid wide pants, a cozy crossed cardigan, and chunky black boots.

MY FAVORITE DRINK: Chai latte with lots of cardamom.
 
MY MUSE: Weyes Blood & Aldous Harding. I love both their music and creative personas.
 
WHAT’S ON MY NIGHTSTAND: A cute lamp, a pile of to-be-read books and a scented candle.
 
MY DREAM JOB WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL: Archeologist. I have always loved ancient, historical relics. During lockdown, I became obsessed with the buried city of Pompeii and all the unknown art that has been hidden for centuries, so I binge-watched every documentary about it.
 
A RITUAL I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: Cuddling my cat every morning.
 
MY BEST MOMENT AT WORK: When my team and I come up with great ideas, together. Creativity sparks are great and... The GIF moments!

MY LIFE MOTTO: Learn every day how to be kinder with the world around me: people, animals, and nature.
 
MY FAVORITE SONG: Levitation by Beach House.
 
MY FAVORITE BOOKS: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and Spring by Ali Smith. I am passionate about literature and I find reading very soothing. 
 
THE MOST INSPIRING ART PIECE: It’s so hard to choose just one! I love the work of Hilma af Klint, which is the very first western abstract painter, along with the musings of color and mysticism of Mark Rothko. And on a completely different vibe I am fascinated by the female depictions of Pre-raphaelite brotherhood like the iconic Ophelia by John Everett Millais.
