I’m actually looking forward to September.
I love summer, but by the end of August I always notice that I’m ready to get back into a bit more of a rhythm.
August tends to be slower. People are away, days feel a little longer and everything moves at a different pace. And while I really enjoy that, there’s also something nice about things starting up again.
For me, September has always had a bit of that fresh-start feeling.
Back to routines, back to seeing more of the team, new ideas to work on and new things we want to create. I usually come back from summer with a long list of thoughts in my notes — some better than others — and September is when we start turning a few of them into actual plans.
And one watch I’ll definitely be bringing into September with me is the Legacy City.
It’s one of those watches that works especially well as the seasons start to change. Easy to wear every day, whether I’m back at the office, heading into a meeting or going somewhere after work. Simple, versatile and exactly the kind of watch I find myself reaching for without thinking too much about it.
I think I’ve learned to appreciate both sides of this time of year.
The slower weeks give you space to think. And then, at some point, you’re ready to get moving again.
So while I’m definitely not wishing summer away, I’m quite excited for what comes next.
Maybe a new season isn’t such a bad excuse for a fresh start.
