The other day I caught myself checking my phone while walking outside.
The weather was perfect. The sun was shining. And yet somehow, I was looking down instead of around.
So I put my phone back in my pocket.
For the next twenty minutes I noticed things I would've completely missed otherwise. Kids playing in the fountains. Someone reading on a bench. A couple sharing an ice cream. Nothing extraordinary.
But somehow it reminded me that the best moments rarely announce themselves. You simply have to be present enough to notice them. That's something I want to do more often this summer.
Spend a little less time looking at a screen, and a little more time looking at the world around me. Maybe you'll join me.
