Climb Clean, Climb Bold: Discover Val di Mello 🇮🇹 |
Tucked deep in the Italian Alps, Val di Mello is one of those places climbers whisper about—the kind of destination that doesn’t need hype because those who know, know. 👀
Quiet granite walls, crystal-clear rivers, and some of the most iconic trad lines in Europe. If you’re into clean climbing, big views, and proper adventure—it’s all waiting for you here. 🤩
|
1️⃣ A Valley That Climbers Worship |
✅ Reality: Val di Mello isn’t just “a place to climb.” It’s a piece of climbing history. Some of the most iconic multipitch routes in Europe were opened here in the '70s and ‘80s—and it’s still a pilgrimage site for trad lovers around the world.
This is where granite dreams come true: 🧱 Bouldering in magical forests 📏 Single and multipitch trad routes on bomber granite 🧗♂️ Mountaineering for the alpine-inclined 🍝 And when you're done? It's Italy. You eat well, always.
|
2️⃣ This Is Real Trad—No Bolts, No BS |
✅ Reality: Val di Mello’s climbing culture is rooted in minimal impact ethics. No heavy bolting. No shiny metal left behind.
Instead, it’s all about nuts, cams, and natural placements—gear that you bring, use, remove, and take home. Clean climbing, pure and simple.
Our trip is designed exactly for that: to teach you how to safely place trad gear, build anchors, and protect multipitches. No prior trad experience? No problem. That’s what you’re here for.
💡 Bonus: You’ll be climbing with certified local guides who know these routes like the back of their chalky hands.

Not your average adventure 😬

3️⃣ Climbing + Community = Melloblocco Vibes |
✅ Reality: This valley isn’t just famous for its climbs—it’s known for its community.
Every year, climbers from all over the world gather here for Melloblocco, one of the biggest and most iconic climbing festivals on the planet. Think good vibes, hundreds of boulderers, shared beta, laughter, and a cold beer by the river. 🥳
While our trip isn’t during the festival (less crowded, more climbing for us 🙃), the spirit of Melloblocco is baked into the valley. The locals care deeply about the rock, the land, and the culture around it—and we’re here to learn and climb with respect.
|
✅ Reality: You don’t need to be a seasoned trad climber to join this trip—but you do need to be excited to learn. We’ll cover gear placement, belay systems, rope management, and climb plenty of beautiful lines while we’re at it.
🌿 Expect mellow mornings, long granite slabs, crisp alpine air, and evening chats over pasta and gear beta.
🏕️ You’ll be staying in the valley, surrounded by forests and peaks, with everything from espresso to gear shops within walking distance.
|
If you’re trad-curious, looking to level up your climbing, or just want to experience one of the most legendary valleys in Europe, this is your trip.
We’ll teach, climb, eat, and connect—with the rock, the community, and each other.
