This week is Earth Week. And every year, it gives me a moment to pause and really look at what we’ve built together, beyond the products.
Because since day one, this has been part of the idea. Not just creating watches, but giving something back that actually grows. Right now, we’ve planted over 575,000 trees together.
To put that into perspective, that’s an area comparable to the size of Central Park, filled with new life. But what I’ve learned over the years is that the real story isn’t in the size.
It’s in how those trees are planted, and what they become. We work closely with Trees for the Future, and they don’t just plant trees randomly. They work with farmers and families to build what they call Forest Gardens.
Over a period of about four years, land that was once depleted gets restored into something productive again. Different types of trees and crops are planted in a smart, structured way: improving soil, creating food security, and generating long-term income.
It’s not a quick fix. It’s something that keeps growing, year after year. And that’s what I find most powerful about it. Because while we’re here, going about our daily lives, something real is taking root somewhere else, because of a simple choice.
