Hi! Jonay, CEO of WoodWatch here.
Over the years, I've learned a few lessons that I keep coming back to. I don't always get them right, but they help me focus on what matters when life gets busy.
Here are five things I try to remind myself of.
1. Don't wait for the perfect moment.
You can spend a long time waiting until everything feels right. Sometimes, you just have to take the first step and figure things out along the way.
2. Make time for the people who matter.
There's always something else to do, but the moments we share with friends and family are just as important. Make room for them, even when life gets hectic.
3. Choose things that feel like you.
It's easy to follow trends, but I think the best choices are the ones that reflect who you are and what matters to you.
4. Stay curious.
There's always something new to learn. Stay open to different perspectives, ask questions and don't be afraid to try something unfamiliar.
5. Remember why you started.
When you're focused on what's next, it's easy to forget what brought you here. Taking a step back can help you reconnect with what really matters.
I don't follow these rules perfectly every day. For me, they're simply reminders to make more intentional choices and keep moving in the right direction.
It's also something I think about at WoodWatch: creating watches that feel personal and become part of the moments that matter.
I'm curious: what's one rule you try to live by?
