All-Mountain Boots

The "all-mountain boots" means everything and it means nothing, boots have different flex which usually increase as the price increases.

We mean all-mountain when we have an intermediate flex that allows us a good front flex while still providing support to push on the board properly.

In short, the boot for most riders.

Some of the most popular models are:

RIDE LASSO | K2 MAYSIS | NORTHWAVE DECADE | SALOMON DIALOGUE
TAKE A LOOK
Freestyle Boots

Guess what, exactly: all boots can do freestyle :O

But some have additional tricks for those who spend a lot of time not knowing where the top and bottom is.

Often there are different closure systems mixed together and strategically placed rigid zones to assist in manoeuvres.

Some of my favourites:
NITRO VENTURE PRO | NORTHWAVE EDGERIDE ANCHOR | K2 OVERDRAFT
BOOM!
Tough Boots

Boots for riders who haven't thrown up at the first 2girls1cup or who want maximum support because two things are infinite in this world and one is the desire to lie down while bending.

You can also find them written inside Arnold's bathroom:
NITRO TEAM MK | NORTHWAVE DOMAIN | BATALEON SALSA | RIDE THE 92
PROVARE PER CREDERE
Which lacing system to choose?

We currently have three types of boot latch and all three work well, if there is a better one we will all have that one.
NO stadium fanaticism here.

We have PROs and CONs for each closure and I will try to simplify:

Speedlace: we often if not always find it with TWO lace pullers that take care of two different parts of the boot. The PRO's are that it is fast, practical and distributes the lace tension quickly, reducing the time needed for lacing and adjusting. As a CON they have some bulk to manage i.e. where to put the laces once tightened, often in special pockets.

BOA / SPIN: They can be differentiated into Single, Double and Double Zonal, the PRO's are a 'quick' closure and no lace encumbrance once tightened, as a CON they have a difficult tension management and require more time to settle on the desired lacing, as well as a difficult replacement/repair on spot.

Traditional laces: they are the choice of riders who want unique modularity in each loop, as PRO they have an ultra-customisable fit and ease of repair/replacement on spot, as CON they have a lace bulk to manage and require more force to lace up.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Choose with your heart, the type of lacing will not define the boot, just as the colour does not; comfort and fit are the only yardstick.
